Marianthi (Bavas) Skiadas

  Marianthi Skiadas, 80, of West Orange, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 at Grove Park Health Care, East Orange, New Jersey. She was born Marianthi Bavas on September 1, 1943 in Andros, Greece. In 1962, she  immigrated to the United States and settled in East Orange, New Jersey, remaining in the area of The Oranges throughout her life. Marianthi and her husband raised their daughters in West Orange.  She worked for some years as a bank clerk in the Banking Industry.

Marianthi was predeceased by her parents Leonidas and Marika (Calogredes) Bavas, her ex-husband Elias Skiadas, her daughter Marika Skiadas, and her brother in law Dimitri Economides. She is survived by her loving daughter Anna Skiadas and her husband Brian Liddle of Lakewood Colorado, her cherished grandchildren Lia and Rachel Liddle, and her dear sisters Eleni Economides of Athens, Greece, and Francesca Stratis and her husband Leonidas of Athens, Greece, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be always remembered for her quiet kindness, love of her religion, and will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Hillcrest Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. A Greek Orthodox Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Route 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07748.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
