Marian M. Godzwon, 68, of Cliffwood Beach, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Bayshore Hospital. Marian was born on October 28, 1954 in Staszow, Poland to parents Stanislaw and Barbara (Warchalowska) Godzwon, where he grew up and spent his early years. In the mid 1980’s, Marian moved to the United States to begin a life for himself and soon met the love of his life Ewa Erwart. They were married in November of 1985 and raised two wonderful children together.
Marian was employed by Pathmark in the logistics department. But to most, he was known as a true handy man. He could fix anything, especially around the house, and had a nickname as the “Polish MacGyver.” Also know as quite the culinary, Marian’s specialty was making soup. He enjoyed watching sports, especially soccer, and the New Jersey Devils. His greatest joy was watching his grandsons play sports and swimming in the pool on a nice summer day. He was truly devoted to his family. Marian was a loving husband, father, and grandfather (“Adun”/ “Ja Ja”) and will be truly missed and never forgotten.
Marian is predeceased by his brother Adam Godzwon and his faithful dog of 16 years Felick. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Ewa (Erwart) Godzwon, his parents Stanislaw and Barbara Godzwon, his sons Andrew Godzwon and his wife Nancy, Gregory and his wife Megan, his grandchildren Evan, Austin, and Leo, his siblings Teresa Pulchny and Grzegorz Godzwon, his “grand-dogs” Maci and Cosmo, and many other nephews, extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday morning, May 25, 2023 from 8:30AM to 9:15 at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
