Margaret T (DeSilva) Moreno

Margaret T. Moreno, 83, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her sons, on January 30, 2024 at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Margaret T. DeSilva on August 14, 1940 in Newark, New Jersey. Born and raised in Newark, she relocated to Hazlet in 1990 where she remained and raised her family.  While in Newark, she worked for the Newark public school system as a school aid.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mary (Cornacchia) DeSilva, and her brother, Anthony DeSilva Jr.  She is survived by her loving children, Carlos Moreno and his wife Jodie of Hazlet, New Jersey, Anthony Moreno and his wife Michelle of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Joseph Moreno of Morris Plains, New Jersey; her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Devon, Connor, Chris, Danny, Hayden, and Kendall Moreno; her dear sister Ana Rosario and husband Angelo, and her sister-in-law Alba DeSilva, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She will be always remembered and loved, and will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home, 3269 Highway/State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Friday at 12:30 PM.  Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road, Middletown (Red Bank), New Jersey.
