Lydia (Reyes) Cartagena

Lydia Cartagena, 87, of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2019 at Bayshore Health Care Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.. She was born Lydia Reyes on August 11,1932 in Puerto Rico. Lydia was predeceased by her husband beloved Hortencio Cartagena and her loving son Victor Santiago, and her sisters Anna Colon and Edith Rosario. Lydia is survived by her loving children Marisol Rodriguez and her husband Rick of Hazlet, New Jersey, Carmen Laguerre and her husband Ben of Hazlet, New Jersey, Nelly Rodriguez of Jersey City, New Jersey, Anthony Santiago and his wife, Nery of Puerto Rico, Carmen Santiago of Miami, Florida, Norma Muniz of Miami and Jose Reyes of Staten Island, NY, and her dear sister Marcola Reyes, along with 18 Cherished grandchildren and 9  cherished  great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, November 19, 2019 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Family R.C. Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, 350 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
