Lucille "Lucy" Ianuale Obituary

Lucille Mager Ianuale, 71, of Hazlet, NJ, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Manhattan, with stops in the Bronx and Brooklyn, Lucy came to Hazlet in 1984 where she built a life defined by her fierce devotion to her family, her work and her unyielding strength.

Lucy was married to her husband, Robert Ianuale, for nearly 43 years and they raised two sons. Thick-headed, tough and logical, Lucy believed that family was the most important part of life. She worked tirelessly to ensure her family remained intact and safe, creating a home filled with love and stability. Her greatest joy was nurturing her family, guiding her sons with unwavering dedication through every stage of their lives.

Lucy fought cancer with remarkable determination in order to meet her first granddaughter, Raven Jade, born in March 2025, to her son Robert John and his wife, Emily, a goal that brought her immense pride and fulfillment.

Professionally, Lucy was not only dedicated to her family but to her work. She was at Bristol Myers Squibb for over 15 years and Getinge for the last 10 years, bringing her sharp mind and dedication into each of her roles, involving training and various learning management systems.

Lucy was predeceased by her brothers, Frank Mager and Matthew “Matty” Mager. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her sons, Robert John and Philip James; her granddaughter, Raven Jade; and her sisters, Lynette, Gina and Marianne. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Angela, Vincent, Mike, Kristina, Mark, Matt, Vanessa, Nicole, Tracey, Jessica, Lauren, Paul, Michelle, Deanna, Daniel, and Kevin.

An animal lover, Lucy cherished the companionship of many German Shepherds throughout her life, bringing her great comfort and joy. In lieu of flowers, Lucy requested donations be made to the German Shepherd Rescue of NJ or Guide Dogs for the Blind @.guidedogs.com causes close to her heart.
