Lorraine A. Grady, 92, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Lorraine Cordine on November 24, 1931, in Newark, New Jersey, where she grew up. In 1959, Lorraine settled in Hazlet, New Jersey, where she remained to raise her family. Before her retirement, Lorraine worked as a Hallmark Sales Associate for Matawan Card and Gift for 27 years. Most of all, she was a loving mother who devoted her life to taking care of her three beloved sons.
Lorraine loved to decorate for all the holidays, both in her home and at the card store over the years. She was fondly known as the “cookie princess”. Lorraine loved baking and was infamous amongst her family and friends for her delicious peanut butter cookies. When not baking, Lorraine enjoyed a glass of her favorite wine, J. Lohr Cabernet, and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mildred (Cordine) Seylaz, and her son, John Grady. Lorraine is survived by her loving sons, Kevin P. Grady of Hazlet, and James M. Grady of Hazlet, and her beloved dogs, Molly, Woody, and Scamper.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
