Lorraine A. Baker, 89, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel. She was born Lorraine A. Graf on July 9, 1933 in Manhattan, New York, and grew up in Bronx, New York. In 1956, Lorraine moved to Jersey City, New Jersey, and ultimately settled in Hazlet in 1962 where she remained to raise her family. Lorraine and her late husband, Charles, were the founding members of C & C Air Conditioning, Heating, and Plumbing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Lorraine will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Kathleen (Kehoe) Graf, her beloved husband, Charles A. Baker, her cherished grandson, Brian N. Baker, her sister, Eileen Bauer and her husband, David, and her sons-in-law, Michael Herman, and David L. Meyre. Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Charles R. Baker of Delaware, Brian J. Baker and his wife, Jennifer, of Belford, Linda Meyre of Hazlet, and Christopher H. Baker and his wife, Carol, of Morganville, her dear sister, Joan Strehle and her husband, Lou, her cherished grandchildren, David Lee Meyre Jr., Christopher Baker Jr., Cassidy Baker, Alexis Baker, Joseph Baker, Charley Baker, Brian Baker, and Hailey Baker, and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Castrovilly and her husband, James, Raymond Baker, and Leatrice Zippo and her husband, Edward.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 10:15 AM. Entombment will take place following the conclusion of the Mass at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
