Lori K. (Koehler) Bachmann

Lori K. (Koehler) Bachmann of Hazlet passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, at Bayside Manor in Keansburg. She was born Lori Kay Koehler on June 4,1960 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and lived her life in Hazlet, NJ. 

She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend to many. All who knew her will remember her quiet but valiant fight against Multiple Sclerosis. Living with MS for decades never altered her kindness and beautiful positive spirit.

Lori formed life-long friendships while attending grade-school in Hazlet and Raritan High School where she graduated in 1978. She cherished these friendships and special bonds.  All who knew Lori will remember her special way of making others feel her love and compassion. NEVER did she dwell on herself. When Lori was asked “How are you doing?” her response would automatically be “I’m fine. How are you and your family?” Only a special person like Lori can quietly fight her own personal physical battle and make it look easy.

Sharing memories with family and friends kept her love of life strong. Lori’s loving and gentle approach to life was truly inspirational.

She was predeceased by her parents, Katherine (Murray) and Robert Charles Koehler. She was also predeceased by the “love of her life” John Bachmann who she married in 1985. Lori is survived by her brothers, Richard (Rick) Koehler and his wife, Katharine, of Middletown, Kevin Koehler and his wife, Monica, of Hazlet and John Koehler of Hazlet, her cherished nieces and nephews, Jill Potter and her husband, Kevin, Drew Koehler and wife, Erica, Lauren Koehler, Paige Koehler and Kevin Koehler. She also treasured her great nieces and nephews, Nava Potter, Malia Koehler and Raymond Potter. All considered Lori a loving and devoted sister and aunt.

In respect of Lori’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, NJ 07730. It seems fitting to celebrate her life on the day of her birth so a prayer service and sharing of memories will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 11:15am.
