Loretta A. (Mullowney) Evancho

Loretta A. Evancho, 101, of Keansburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2020 at Laurel Bay Nursing Home in Keansburg.  She was born Loretta Mullowney on March 31, 1919 in Witless Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, where she grew up.  In the early 1940's, Loretta immigrated to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, New York, where she met her beloved husband, Joseph.  After marriage, Loretta and Joseph started their family in New York and in 1997, moved to New Jersey.  While living in Brooklyn, Loretta worked part-time as a retail sales associate for A & S for 20 years.  Most of all, Loretta was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and will be deeply missed.

She was predeceased by her parents, James and Honorah (Vickers) Mullowney, her beloved husband, Joseph Evancho, and her dear siblings, Mary Thaddeus Mullowney R.S.M., Rita O'Keefe, Irene Power, Theresa Mullowney, and Gregory Mullowney.  Loretta is survived by her loving children, Carol A. Evancho of Keyport, New Jersey and James J. Evancho and his wife, Leanne, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Evancho and his wife, Laura, and Daniel Evancho.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of her family's wishes, Loretta's services will be held privately and she will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, New York.
