Lois Susan (Letts) Kneute

Lois Susan Kneute, 85, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 27, 2022.  She was born Lois Susan Letts on March 2, 1937 in South Amboy, New Jersey, where she grew up.  On February 25, 1955, Lois and her husband, Harry, were married and they began their life together in Keyport, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family.  Before Lois’ retirement, she was a Librarian for many years for the Keyport Library.  She was also a very talented painter and artist.  Most of all, Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Edna (Russell) Letts, her dear siblings, Beatrice Schultz and Richard W. Letts III, and her granddaughter, Christina Arnold.  Lois is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 67 years, Harry J. Kneute, her loving children, Cherlanne Roche and her husband, John, of Union Beach, Donna Lynn Newrock of Keyport, Erich Kneute and his wife, Michelle, of Cliffwood Beach, Harry Kneute and his wife, Bernadette, of Manchester, and Darrin Kneute of Keyport, and her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Wodzinski and her husband, Brian, Sean Riley, Jacob Kneute and his wife, Rachyal, Christopher Newrock, and Rebecca Crockett and her husband, Thomas, along with many treasured great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  In respect of Lois’ wishes, she will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
