Lois Irene Harris

Lois Irene Harris, 77, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Anchor Care in Hazlet.  She was born Lois Irene Garthwaite on December 9, 1942 in Elizabeth, New Jersey and grew up in Clark, where she was a graduate of Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School.  While living in Clark, Lois and her family were one of the first parishioners of St. John the Apostle Church, after it was founded.  In adulthood, Lois moved to Rahway to raise her family.  Before retirement, she worked as a health care employee for the Senior Services Center at Union Hospital in Union, New Jersey.  Lois was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents, Teresa (Byrne) and Raymond J. Garthwaite, her dear sister, Carole Eckert and her daughter-in-law, Laura Greenstone.  Lois is survived by her loving children, Jack L. Harris Jr. of Oceanport, and Michelle Clark and her husband, Steve, of Highbridge, her adoring brother, Raymond Garthwaite and his wife, Maureen, of Clark, and her cherished grandchildren, Bryant Harris, Colleen Harris-Severns, Sean and Stephen Clark.  Lois will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
