Linda Dobies

Linda M. Dobies, a person of love and kindness, passed away peacefully at her home, in Laurence Harbor, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on September 26, 1947, in Jersey City, NJ, she was a daughter to the late Frank and Louise (Buono) Lamb.  She met the love of her life Joseph E. Dobies and they were married on January 25, 1977, and shortly after, they moved to Belleville, New Jersey.  In 2002 they moved to Laurence Harbor, where they happily remained.

Linda's heart was always her family's home. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her devoted husband of 48 years, Joseph E. Dobies. Together, they built a life filled with joy and compassion. She is also survived by her children, Michelle McEvoy of Flemington, New Jersey, and Jason Dobies, along with his wife Meghan of Mikleton, New Jersey and her grandchildren, Leanne Dobies, Kennedy McEvoy, Ryan McEvoy, Austin Dobies, Liam McEvoy, and Declan McEvoy. She also leaves behind her kind mother in law, Florence Dobies and her kind sister-in-law, Monica Petela, and her husband, Stephen. 

For twelve years, Linda served as a dedicated secretary at Saint Peter's School in Belleville, New Jersey. She was a devoted communicant of Saint Lawrence R.C. Church in Laurence Harbor, New Jersey.  Linda will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/ Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey   07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Saint Lawrence R.C. Church, 109 Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor, New Jersey 08879. Linda’s interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey   07031.  In lieu of flowers donations in loving memory of Linda to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
