Obituary

Kevin Scott Johnson, 59, of Lawrence Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2022 at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel, NJ. Kevin was born to parents Selmer and Elsie (Oross) Johnson on September 9, 1962 in Perth Amboy, NJ, where he grew up. Kevin and his family relocated to the Bayshore area, where lived the rest of his life in a few different locations. He attended Matawan High School, and worked as a painter through the years for various different people. He was dubbed the nickname “Goat Man” for always having a goatee styled beard.  Kevin absolutely loved fishing and crabbing, both were some of his favorite things to do.  He enjoyed watching football and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. What Kevin enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family and friends, and relaxing with a cold Budweiser. He will be greatly missed, and never forgotten.

Kevin is predeceased by his sister Shelli Kungel and her husband Joe. He is survived by his parents, Selmer and Elsie Johnson, his loving children Lynzee Thacker and her husband Joshua, Brandon Johnson, and Stephanie Johnson, his grandchildren Isabella, Cheyenne, Brody, and Bryson, his siblings Eric Johnson and his wife Keeba, and Denise Windeknecht, his loving partner of 20 years Erin Maskevich, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
