Kenneth Andrews Obituary

Kenneth R. Andrews, a man of selflessness and generosity, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 82 in Holmdel, New Jersey. Born on May 5, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Frank and Catherine (Smith) Andrews, Kenneth's life was a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and the enduring strength of family bonds.

Kenneth's journey began in the bustling streets of Brooklyn, where he not only found his calling as an electrician but also met the love of his life, Patricia. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership that blossomed into a loving family, with the birth of their children, Kenneth G. Andrews and Heather Andrews. The family eventually planted their roots in Hazlet, New Jersey, in the 1980s, where Kenneth became a cherished member of the community.

For many years, Kenneth served the New York City Transit Authority with unwavering commitment, ensuring the safety and reliability of the city's lifelines as a skilled electrician. His work ethic was unparalleled, and his dedication to his craft earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Kenneth's hands were rarely still, as he was the quintessential handyman. Neighbors, family, and friends knew him as the man who could fix anything. His love for working on cars was matched only by his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever it was needed. Kenneth's unselfish nature was evident in every aspect of his life, especially in the way he tirelessly worked for the well-being of his children.

He was the embodiment of a devoted father and husband, always placing the needs of his family above his own. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents and his dear brother, Frank Andrews.  His legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Patricia (Anderson) Andrews, his loving children, Kenneth G. Andrews and his wife Maggie, Heather Andrews, and his cherished grandson, Robert Anthony Andrews. Kenneth also leaves behind his dear brother, Joel Andrews, and a host of treasured nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their uncle's generous spirit and invaluable life lessons.

Kenneth's character was marked by his selflessness, his handy skills, and his generous heart. These attributes were the foundation of his life and the hallmark of the man he was. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will continue to inspire those he left behind.
