Kathleen M. (Cahill) Tepper

Kathleen M. Tepper, fondly known as “Kitty”, 80, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 18, 2020.  She was born Kathleen M. Cahill on October 9, 1939 in Bronx, New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Daniel.  On August 3, 1957, Kitty and Daniel were married and began their lives together in the Bronx.  A few years later in 1965, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family.  Before retirement, Kitty worked for the VNA as a home health aid for many years and was also the office manager for Dr. Elliott Winograd, a dental practice in Hazlet for over 25 years.  Above all else, Kitty was a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother.  She adored her family and especially loved spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Johanna (O’Grady) Cahill and her beloved husband, Daniel Tepper.  Kitty is survived by her loving children, Daniel E. Tepper and his wife, Susan, of Leland, North Carolina, James F. Tepper and his wife, Shirley, of Rolesville, North Carolina, Kathleen O’Connor of Matawan, Susan Macchia and her husband, James, of Belford, and Laura Connor and her husband, Greg, of Hazlet.  She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Josephine Conrad and her husband, Charles, of Keyport, Michael Cahill of Upstate, New York, and Thomas Cahill and his wife, Yvonne, of Mason, Texas, and her cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Allison, Megan, Ryan, Kyle, Amanda, Jeremy, Erin, and Mia.  Kathleen will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday morning, September 22, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Highway 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07748.  For information, directions or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
