Julia C. Mocci, 90, of Morganville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 24, 2022. She was born Julia C. Mancini on May 29, 1932, in Cliffwood, New Jersey, where she was raised. On July 2, 1950, Julia and her beloved husband, John, were married and began their life together. In 1960, they settled in Aberdeen, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family and in 1980, they moved to Morganville. While living in Aberdeen, she was a member of the Aberdeen Township Hose and Chemical Company #1, Ladies Auxiliary, for over 50 years. Most of all, Julia was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Concetta (Mancini) Barbetta, her dear siblings, Elizabeth Seber, and Santos Mancini, and her sister-in-law, Patricia Mancini. Julia is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 72 years, John Mocci, her loving children, Dianne Ziegler of Morganville, Joanne Gilmore and her late husband, Chuck Zweidinger, of Morganville, Debbie Mocci of Hazlet, and John Mocci III and his wife, Nancie, of Keyport, and her dear siblings, Leon Mancini and his wife, Doll, Amelia Hyer and her husband, Vic, Anna Petner, and Nicholas Mancini. Julia also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, William Gilmore and his wife, Jessie, Nicole Mocci, Nicholas Gigantino, and Anthony Gigantino, her adored great grandchildren, Adrian Gilmore and Sienna Gilmore, and many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning, June 28, 2022, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Julia on Tuesday morning, June 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
