Judith A. Rothenberg, fondly known as ‘Judy’, 77, of Belford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Anchor Care and Rehabilitation in Hazlet on Monday, August 7, 2023. She was born Judith Horowitz on November 25, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met the love of her life, Jerry Rothenberg. On September 11, 1971, Judy and Jerry were married and began their life and family together in Brooklyn. They remained in Brooklyn for many years and in 2007, they sold their home and settled in Whitney Point, New York. In 2017, they relocated to Belford, New Jersey.
Judy was a proud member of the American Legion. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, watching game shows and‘Lifetime’ television. Most of all, Judy was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Renee (Rothman) Horowitz. Judy is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 51 years, Jerry Rothenberg, her loving sons, Tracy Rothenberg and his partner, Tammy Musmacker, of Belford, and Aaron Rothenberg of Whitney Point, New York, and her dear sister, Lynn Manzel of Brooklyn, New York. Judy also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Brandon, Gavin, T.J., Dakota, and Candice, her adored great grandchildren, Gemma and Ethan, and her treasured nieces, Shari Innamaratto and Heidi Senisi and a nephew, Andy Manzel.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
