Joyce A (Widman) Haseman

Joyce A. Haseman, 85, of Hazlet, NJ peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 12, 2023.  Joyce was born in Newark, NJ in 1937. She moved to New Providence in 1942. She was a graduate of Matawan High School Class of 1955. She worked for Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark and the Farmers & Merchants Bank in Matawan.  She married her husband Fred in 1959. They lived in Keyport and then Hazlet NJ. After having her two children, Joyce was a “stay-at-home” mom. She was a Girl Scout Brownie Troop 610 Leader for 10 years. She was a member of the Faith Community Church in Hazlet where she was an Elder and Vice President of Consistory for many years. Joyce worked for Dr. Ali Ahmadifar, Holmdel, New Jersey for 19 years until retiring in December of 2005. She was a volunteer for the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Lillian (Javos) Widman. Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Fred, daughter Donna Ringel and Mike Watson of Warren, son Alan Haseman and wife Andrea of Stafford Township and four grandchildren, Daniel and Andrew Ringel, and Joshua and Jordan Haseman. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey, 07730.  A Service will be offered at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Tuesday.
