Joy Ida Boggio

Joy Ida Boggio, 76, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 3rd, 2022 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ. Joy was born on December 5, 1945 to Frank and Sarah Orefice in Brooklyn New York. She and her husband Albert Boggio were married on May 26, 1974, and raised a beautiful family together. Joy loved to decorate. She had a creative mind and eye that was unmatched. She could see an item and find possibilities that the average person could never imagine.  She made the dull sparkle. Joy enjoyed gambling and had the gift of knowing when to hold them and when to fold them.  She had a poker face that won her some choice names at the card table. She loved her trips to AC and found casinos wherever she visited. Her door was always open. She was an outstanding cook, and hosted many “7’o’clock coffee” gatherings, where family and friends were always welcome to come by for some coffee and a piece of Entenmann’s cake. Joy was a lifelong Days of Our Lives, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune fan. Most importantly, Joy was a caring mother, loving grandmother, devoted wife, loyal sister, and friend to many.

Joy is predeceased by her parents Frank and Sarah Orefice, her loving husband of 42 years Albert Boggio, and her brothers Robert Orefice and Eugene Orefice. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Gonzalez and her husband Victor, and Allison Boggio, her grandchildren Alexandria, Christopher, and Gabriella, her brother Frank Orefice, and many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
