Josephine T. (Catenacci) Zaccogna

Josephine T. Zaccogna, 87, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.  Josephine was born on October 3, 1930 in Linden, New Jersey, where she grew up.  After marriage, she raised her family in Summit, New Jersey and 17 years ago settled in Holmdel Village in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Before retirement, Josephine worked for State Farm Insurance Company with the Claims Department Team for over 17 years.  Josephine had a deep devotion to Christ and her Catholic faith and was a long-time communicant of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clement and Rose (Natale) Catenacci, her siblings, Annabelle, Rosalie, Bertha, Victor, and Charlie and her previous husband, Joseph George Zaccogna.  Josephine is survived by her loving children, Joseph Michael Zaccogna and his wife, Kathy, of Highbridge, New Jersey, Deborah Ann Zaccogna of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Kathleen Bonanno of Oceanport, New Jersey.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Cheryl Rose Zaccogna, Jared Joseph Bonanno and Ava Grace Bonanno, her previous son-in-law, Joseph Bonanno and the beloved family dog, Pucca Bell.  Josephine will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday morning, September 5th, 2018 from 9:15 to 10:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07730.  Entombment will follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, 136 Passaic Avenue, Summit, New Jersey 07901.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
