Joseph Stanzione

Joseph Stanzione, 70, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 17, 2018.  Joseph was born on October 28, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and raised his family.  In 2005, he and his wife, Lucy, settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.  Before retirement, Joseph worked in the Security Department at New York University in Manhattan, New York.

He was predeceased by his parents, Domenick and Frances (Cardaci) Stanzione and his sister, Phyllis McGovern.  Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy (Garozzo) Stanzione, his loving children, Bridget Willig and her husband, Tim, Joseph Stanzione Jr., Crystal Stanzione, and Anthony Stanzione, and his cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Grace, and Joseph.  Joseph will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday evening, August 20, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Wednesday morning, August 23, 2018 from 8:00 to 8:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, August 22, 2018 at 9:30 AM at The Church of St. Catherine Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, North Middletown, New Jersey 07748.  Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
