Joseph Stano Obituary

Joseph G. Stano, 87, of Highlands, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 26, 2021.  Joseph was born on June 29, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey, and grew up Hillside, New Jersey and was presently of the Highlands for many years.  Joseph was a proud United States decorated Air Force Major and fought for our country in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.  Prior to his time with the Air Force, Joseph served with the United States Navy for 2 years.  He was currently retired.  Joseph will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lucille (Aspden) Stano.  Joseph is survived by his beloved nephew, Joseph Romeo and his wife, Denise, of St. James City, Florida, and his cherished great nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Makynzee, Daniel, Amanda, Ashley, Adella, Diesel, Jacob, Boo, and Lucille.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Joseph's wishes, he will be privately cremated and his cremated remains will be entombed at Brigadier General William C.
