Joseph Manginelli

Joseph “Guiseppe” Manginelli, 90, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey.  Joseph was born on December 19, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey. Joseph met and then married the love of his life Marion (Gordzielewski) and together they moved to Irvington, New Jersey to start a family. In 1978 they moved to Hazlet, New Jersey where they remained.  Joseph served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired after many years from the United States Post Office in Jersey City where he was a supervisor in their bulk mail department. In his younger years he spent time traveling. He enjoyed spending time at the horse track and playing poker. Above all he was most happy when being around his family. 

He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Angelo and Isabella (MastroDonato) Manginelli, his loving wife Marion Manginelli and a son, Joseph Manginell, a great granddaughter, Adriana Nicole and his brother, Benedict Manginellii and a sister Theresa Ferriss. Joseph is survived by his devoted and caring children, Nicole Manginelli of Hazlet, New Jersey, Mark Manginelli of Hazlet, New Jersey and Colette Perfit of Olive Bridge, New York, his adored grandchildren, Mark Manginelli, Michael Manginelli, Brianna Manginelli, Christopher DiGiorgio, Stephanie DiGiorgio, Alexa Manginelli, Demi Manginelli and Joli Perfit, his cherished great grandchildren, Christopher, Isabella and Maison, a brother, John Manginelli, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Joseph was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey   07730. A prayer service will be held during the visitation. An entombment  of his cremains will follow at Forest Green Cemetery, 535 Texas Road, Morganville, New Jersey 07751.
