Joseph (Giuseppe) Garozzo

Giuseppe Garozzo, also known as Joseph, 92, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Giuseppe was born on May 14, 1927 in Sicily, Italy, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Delizia.  On April 27, 1957, Giuseppe and Delizia were married and began their life together.  Shortly after, they immigrated to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, New York, where they remained to raise their family.  Before retirement, Giuseppe worked as a shoe maker and owned his own shop, Joe's Master Shoe Repair for over 50 years in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, New York.

He was predeceased by his parents, Francesco and Lucia (Cappello) Garozzo and his son-in-law, Joseph Stanzione.  Giuseppe is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 63 years, Delizia (Migliorisi) Garozzo, his loving children Lucy Stanzione, Frank Garozzo, and Salvatore Garozzo and his wife, Emily, his dear sister, Stella Cerruto and her husband, John, and his cherished grandchildren, Crystal Stanzione, Anthony Stanzione and Mason Garozzo.  Giuseppe will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Due to the current COVID-19 health crisis, visitation and services will be held privately for the immediate family only.  Giuseppe will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.  For information or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
