Joseph P. Blanco, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished member of his family, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Hazlet, New Jersey, at the age of 71.
Born on September 11, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, he grew up with the values of hard work, loyalty, and devotion that would guide him throughout his life. He carried his Brooklyn roots with pride and remained connected to the place where his story began, even as his life took him to New Jersey, where he built a home and a legacy centered on family and commitment.
Joseph was a man of education and purpose, earning his bachelor’s degree and going on to serve as a retired accountant for the State of New Jersey in Newark. He was very devoted to his job and approached his work with diligence, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility. His career reflected the same steady character that defined his personal life, and he was respected for the care and attention he brought to all that he did.
In 1986, after marrying the love of his life, Joseph and his wife moved to Lavalette for a year before finally settling in Hazlet, where they made their home and shared many meaningful years together. Family was always at the center of his world, and he adored those closest to him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lauria Anna (Pittella) Blanco, and his daughter, Nicole Blanco, both of whom were the great joys of his life. He would do anything for his family, and his love for them was evident in every part of the life he lived.
Joseph was also known for his lifelong interests and the joy he found in them. He was an avid model train collector and proudly maintained one of the largest collections, a hobby that brought him great satisfaction and reflected his appreciation for detail, patience, and craftsmanship. His collection was a source of pride and a testament to the care and dedication he brought to the things he loved. Those who knew him will remember not only his interests, but also the warmth and devotion with which he shared his life.
He will be remembered as a loving man whose greatest strength was the depth of his care for others. His presence brought comfort, stability, and kindness to those around him, and his memory will remain a treasured part of the lives of all who knew and loved him. Though he has passed from this life, the love he gave so freely and the example he set through his actions will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Joseph P. Blanco leaves behind a legacy of devotion, hard work, and enduring love. He was a man who valued family above all else, who took pride in his work, and who found happiness in the simple and meaningful moments of life. His memory will be cherished always, and he will be deeply missed.
