Jose "Lou" Luis Muniz

Jose Luis Muniz, fondly known as “Lou”, 76, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, October 2, 2023, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.  He was born on January 4, 1947, in Bronx, New York, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Millie.  Lou and Millie were married on November 1, 1969, and began their life and family together in Bronx.  In 1978, they settled in Union Beach, New Jersey, where they remained.  Before his retirement, Lou worked in the printing business for R.R. Donnelly in Secaucus, New Jersey.  While living in Union Beach, he also coached youth soccer and baseball for many years.  Most of all, Lou was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many.  He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Lou was predeceased by his parents, Manuel Antonio and Nicolasa (Pagan) Muniz, and his siblings Daisy Calcano, John Muniz, Manuel Muniz Jr., and Ralph Muniz.  He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 53 years, Fe Milagros “Millie” Muniz, his loving children, Christopher Muniz and his wife, Lizabeth, of Zionsville, Indiana, Michael Muniz and his wife, Dana, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Angela Bennett and her husband, Joseph, of Hazlet, New Jersey, along with his dear sister, Grace Clapsis of Tom's River, New Jersey, and his cherished grandchildren, Luke Bennett, Jackson Muniz, Jake Bennett, Abilene Muniz, and Reid Muniz.
