John J. Shornock

John J. Shornock, 56, of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, passed away on April 19, 2019.  He was born on January 18, 1963 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and was raised in Matawan, New Jersey.  John was currently settled in Laurence Harbor, New Jersey.  Over the years, John worked for Local Union #825 as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

He was predeceased by his father, Michael Shornock and his brother, William "Billy" Shornock.  John is survived by his adoring mother, Claire Lynch, his beloved daughter, Jessica Shornock of Aberdeen, New Jersey, his long-time companion, Georgette Grivas, and his dear siblings, Michael Shornock and his wife Sherry, of Colorado, Frankie Shornock of Keansburg, New Jersey, Dawn Lynch of Keansburg, New Jersey, Robert Shornock and Kenneth Shornock of Toms River, New Jersey, Rhonda Delanex of Keansburg, New Jersey, and Tracy Lynch of Pennsylvania, along with many cherished nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.  John will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, April 27, 2019 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Entombment will follow Saturday morning's visitation at 12:30 PM at St. Gabriel's Cemetery in Marlboro, New Jersey.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
