John J Scafiddi

John J. Scafiddi, 75, of Forked River, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023 at Southern Ocean Medical Center. John was born on July 19, 2023 to parents John Nicholas and Rose (Liotta) Scafiddi in Brooklyn, New York, where he was raised. John eventually moved to Little Silver, spent some years living in Hazlet, and finally settled in Forked River after retirement. John was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, serving his country as a member of the United States Army. John also earned his MBA and BBA and worked as a Human Resource Specialist at V.P. Bank of California International. John was always there for anyone who needed help, but above all he was a loving father, grandfather and friend, and will never be forgotten.

John is predeceased by his parents John Nicholas and Rose Scafiddi, and his brother-in-law Eugene Cella. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne Haralla-Scafiddi, his caring daughter Nicole Kammer and her husband Michael of Mays Landing, NJ, his step-daughter Tracy Haralla of Manchester, NJ, his sister Carol Cella, his grandson Cole Kammer, and many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00PM and Wednesday morning, May 17, 2023, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 549 County Road 520, Marlboro, New Jersey 07746.
