John C. Polizzi

John C. Polizzi, 76, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel.  John was born on October 2, 1948, in San Francisco, California, where he grew up.  At the age of 21, John relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where he met his beloved wife, Debera.  They were married on September 10, 1977, and started their life together in Brooklyn.  They settled in Hazlet, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family until moving to Keyport in 2014.  Before his retirement, John worked for Saker Shop Rite in Middletown for many years.

In his spare time, John loved visiting the racetrack whenever possible.  He also enjoyed smoking cigars, partaking in lottery scratch-offs, collecting model trains, and was die-hard San Francisco 49’ers fan.  Above all else, John was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many.  He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Sadie (Balsamo) Polizzi, and his dear siblings, Mae, Sonny, Buddy, Dominick, and Ignatius.  John is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 47 years, Debera (Milea) Polizzi, his loving daughter, Leesa (Polizzi) Corridon, his dear son-in-law, Steven Corridon, and his grand-puppies, Bentley and Maui.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  In respect of John’s wishes, he will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
