John E. Nemeth, 86, passed away peacefully at his residence at The Willlows in Holmdel, New Jersey on Saturday, July 10, 2021. John was born on December 16, 1934 in the Bronx, New York. He lived in Staten Island, New York for over 50 years and moved to Holmdel, New Jersey in 2014 where he settled and remained. He married his beloved wife, Ruby on September 10, 1955. John started his career in the printing industry at Fenn & Fenn and he then retired from his own company. John was a proud United States Air Force Veteran who honorably served his country. John was a talented artist and loved painting and he submitted his works of art and won multiple blue ribbons. He loved landscaping, bowling, and gardening. He loved taking trips to Atlantic City. If you knew John, you knew of his love for clams. When he went out for dinner he would have them for an appetizer and for dessert. He was always the funniest guy in the room, always telling jokes, he was a true comedian. John was also known as a perfectionist. John cared for his wife Ruby for many years during her illness. They shared no other love like any other couple, they were the best of friends. John will be sadly missed.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Lena (Cappucci) Nemeth. John is survived by his loving and beloved wife, Ruby, his dear and caring children, John C. Nemeth and his wife, Kathy, Charles Nemeth, and Suzanne Bruno and her husband, Nick, his cherished grandchildren, John and his wife, Cristina, Matthew, Justin, Nicholas and his fiancé, Nicole, Joseph, and Alan, and his great-grandchild, Luca.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of John’s wishes, he will be privately cremated. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in “John’s Memory” can be made to the American Cancer Society. There will be a memorial mass held at St. Catherine's RC Church in Holmdel on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10:30 AM.
