John R. Lederer, 77, of Union Beach, New Jersey passed away peacefully after a long illness, with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, John was born on December 23, 1947 in New York City, New York. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War. John lived in various states during his younger years. In 1993 he moved to Roebling, New Jersey and to Union Beach in 1995. While living in New Jersey he met the love of his life, Rosemarie Soliver, they later married on December 27, 2000. They enjoyed many years together remaining in Union Beach. John was self-employed and retired after many years, as Vice President in the marketing and advertising field.
John had a great love for ALL animals. He took great pride in his ability to nurture and care for any animal. He was especially fond of nature, land and all its glory. He was an incredible cook and will be lovingly remembered for being a “child at heart”.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Roger and Evelyn (Reis) Lederer. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Rosemarie Soliver Lederer, his caring children, Matthew Lederer and his wife Sara of Forked River, New Jersey, Chelsea Lederer and her husband Pat Sharkey of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Robert Rydzewski and his wife Rachel of Summit, New Jersey and Jackie Selecky of Cliffwood, New Jersey, his dear siblings, Tom Lederer and his wife Kathy of Roebling, New Jersey and Valerie Mullen and her husband Gary of Wexford, Pennsylvania, his cherished grandchildren, Ella Lederer, Charlotte Lederer, Phoenix Rydzewski and Gryphon Rydzewski. John was a devoted son, husband, father, brother and grandfather. He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
In respect of John’s wishes, he will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
