John M Bolte

John M. Bolte, 71, of Keyport, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey.  John was born on November 22, 1951 in Long Branch, New Jersey.  John was a proud lifelong resident of Keyport. John retired in 2009 from General Motors Corporation, where he worked on the assembly line for over 30 years. John was a devoted and caring son, husband, father, Pop Pop, uncle and friend. 

John was predeceased by his beloved parents, Chuck and Mary (McGuiness) Bolte and beloved nephew, Jordan Bolte.  John is survived by his loving wife, Janice (Hermanns) Bolte, his three daughters, Allison Chellin and her husband Matthew (Bel Air, MD), Amy Bolte (Telluride, CO), Melissa Arthur and her husband Peter (Tinton Falls, NJ), and his brothers, Christopher Bolte and his wife Teresa, and Michael Bolte and his wife Jennifer (Keyport, NJ). He was a cherished Pop Pop to his grandchildren, Catie, Lily, Ansley, Jakey, Jack, Ellie and Hannah. John also is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In respect of John’s wishes, he was privately cremated. A celebration of John’s life will be held on February 11th from 12 to 3 PM at Yesterday's Restaurant on Hwy/Rt 35 in Hazlet.
