Joan Young

Joan Young, 61, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 1, 2021.  She was born Joan Bigler on May 5,1960 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up. She moved to Port Monmouth, New Jersey in 1994. On February 20, 1983, she married her beloved husband, William “Billy” Young. Joan was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and especially with her grandson, William. Joan courageously fought a long battle with cancer.

Joan was predeceased by her mother, Patricia (Gallagher) Bigler. She is survived by her dear father, Robert Bigler, her beloved husband, William “Billy” Young, her loving and dear children, Patricia Young and her boyfriend, Chuck Mobus, John Young, Amanda Young and her partner, Rose Ford, her treasured grandson, William Kane, III, and her dear siblings, Noreen Sphikas and her husband, Paul, Kathleen Ghiraldi and her husband, Henry, Christie Merry and her caring sister-in-law, Kathy Quaranta and her husband, Louie. Joan is also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 5, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and  Tuesday morning, July 6, 2021 from 8:15 to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, July 6, 2021 at 9:30 AM at The Church of St. Catherine of Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, N.
