Joan R. Gibb

Joan R. Gibb, 79, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2023 at Care One in Holmdel.  She was born Joan Farrell on November 22, 1943 in Bayonne, New Jersey, where she grew up.  On November 12, 1961, Joan and her beloved husband, Douglas, were married and started their lives together in Aberdeen, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family.  Before her retirement, Joan worked for Eastern Airlines as a reservationist for many years.  Above all else, Joan was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Rita (Bohn) Farrell.  Joan is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 61 years, Douglas S. Gibb, her loving daughter, Frances Rossi and her husband, Larry, of Matawan, her dear siblings, Francis Farrell and his wife, Angela, Richard Farrell, Rita Dokus, William Farrell, and Mary Jane Billic and her husband, Russell, and her cherished grandchildren, Gina Reid and her husband, Matthew, and Nicholas Rossi.
