Jerome F. Cunningham

Jerome F. Cunningham, 70, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday evening, May 7, 2019.  Jerome was born on November 7, 1948 in Manhattan, New York and grew up in Brooklyn.  On October 28, 1973, Jerome and his wife, Marietta, were married and began their lives together in Hazlet, New Jersey, where they raised their family.  Before retirement, Jerome worked for AT&T as a Longlines Craftsman for many years.  He was also a proud United States Air Force Veteran, having served our country during the Vietnam War. 

He was predeceased by his parents, John Edward and Josephine (Sanger) Cunningham and his dear siblings, James, John, and Joseph Cunningham.  Jerome is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 45 years, Marietta T. (Manzo) Cunningham, his loving children, Jerome F. Cunningham Jr. of Hazlet, New Jersey and Patrick A. Cunningham of Keansburg, New Jersey, his cherished grandson, Jerome R.F. Cunningham III, and his sister-in-law, Josephine Cunningham, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.  Jerome will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday morning, May 13, 2019 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, May 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Interment will follow at 12:30 PM at Brigadier General William C.
