Jeffrey John Martinez, 56, of Morganville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Jeffrey was born on April 3, 1964 in Jersey City, New Jersey and grew up in Cliffside Park. On May 17, 1987, Jeffrey and his wife, Juliann, were married and shortly after settled in Morganville to raise their family. Jeffrey worked as the North East Senior Director of Customer Operations for GE Healthcare and has been with the company for 34 years. He was also an avid New York Giants fan. Most of all, Jeffrey was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He was predeceased by his parents, Juan and Isaura (Castellanos) Martinez and his brother, Juan Martinez. Jeffrey is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 33 years, Juliann (Pepe) Martinez, his loving children, Jeffrey J. Martinez II and his wife, Kelly, of Bloomfield, Michael Martinez and his fiancé, Sammantha Griffin, of Hoboken, and Jenna Filippo and her husband, Nicholas, of Matawan. He is also survived by his dear siblings, Victor Martinez and his wife, Maureen, Ivonne Clayton and her husband, Bill, and Wilfred Martinez and his wife, Rose, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends. Jeffrey will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday, July 3, 2020 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and Saturday morning, July 4, 2020 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, July 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan, New Jersey 07747. St. Clement Roman Catholic Church can allow a maximum of 80 guests to attend the Mass. Please be aware of these restrictions and we a appreciate your understanding during this time. In respect of Jeffrey’s wishes, he will be privately cremated. As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 50 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.
