Jeffrey James Kennedy, 55, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Jeffrey was born on January 6, 1969, at South Amboy Hospital in South Amboy, New Jersey, and lived in Keyport his entire life. He was a graduate of Keyport High School and Catawba College in North Carolina. Jeffrey proudly served with the United States Army from 1988 to 2020. While serving with the U.S. Army, Jeffrey completed three tours in the Middle East and on the DMZ in Korea. After his retirement, Jeffrey worked at the Earle Naval Weapons Base in Leonardo, New Jersey in the Ammunition Depot. He was also a proud member of the Caesarea Masons in Keyport. In his spare time, Jeffrey loved spending time at the beach and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Giants. Most of all, Jeffrey was a loving son, brother, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Jeffrey is survived by his adoring parents, John and Linda (Sappah) Kennedy of Keyport, and his loving brother, Jason John Kennedy of Keyport, along with many cherished extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, February 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
