Jeanette (Sagrestano) Kerrigan

Jeanette Kerrigan, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey.  She was born Jeanette Sagrestano on December 30, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up.  On October 29, 1966, Jeanette and her husband, James, were married and began their lives together in Brooklyn, where they raised their family.  Years later, they settled in Jackson, New Jersey.  Before retirement, Jeanette was a secretary for the New York City Board of Education for many years.  Most of all, Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Mary (Fabiano) Sagrestano, her brothers, Monte Sagrestano and his wife, Loretta, Leo "Junior" Sagrestano, and Frank "Buddy" Sagrestano and his wife, Maryann, and her brother-in-law, Tony Trzesinski.  Jeanette is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 54 years, James J. Kerrigan, her loving daughters, Jeanette Canderozzi and her wife, Micheline Abood, of Middletown, New Jersey, and Shannon McDonald and her husband, Christopher, of Middletown, New Jersey, her dear sisters, Roseann Trzesinski, and Marion Tamburello and her husband, Joseph, her sister-in-law, Jeannette Sagrestano, and her cherished grandchildren, Lily Canderozzi, Devyn McDonald, Tallulah Canderozzi, and Buddy McDonald.  Jeanette will be deeply  missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday afternoon, January 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Mary Mother of God Church, 19 Cherry Tree Farm Road, Middletown, New Jersey 07748.  In respect of Jeanette's wishes, she will be privately cremated.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Jeanette to Feeding America at www.feedingamerica.org, would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
