Jean Somers

Jean Somers, 91, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2020 at Bayshore Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Holmdel.  Jean was born on January 4, 1929 in Mytilini Lesvos, Greece, where she was raised.  As a young adult, Jean immigrated to the United States in 1954, relocating to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Years later in 1972, she settled in Aberdeen, New Jersey and recently moved to Holmdel in 2017.

She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Albert A. Damiani, and her adoring son, Douglas Somers.  Jean is survived by her loving children, George Somers and his wife, Diane, of Holmdel, and Maria Somers, along with her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Michael Kresge Jr. and his wife, Brittany Bacon, Alisa Lynn Kresge and her companion, Will Lanier, and Ryan Thomas Kresge and his wife, Angelique.  Jean will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
