Jean Santoro, 92, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Complete Care in Holmdel. She was born Jean Scagnelli on April 13, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Anthony. After marriage, Jean and Anthony started their life and family together in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Staten Island. They also spent some time living in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, before settling in Whiting. Jean was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Helen Scagnelli, her beloved husband, Anthony Santoro, and her sister, Helen Ciccarelli. Jean is survived by her loving daughter, Jeanne Remuzzi and her husband, Raymond, of Hazlet, her dear sister, Rosemary Williamson, her cherished grandchildren, Allison Costa and her husband, Michael, and Matthew Remuzzi and his wife, Melissa, and her treasured great grandchildren, Charles and Penelope.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday, September 13, 2024, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10309.
