Jean Godsil, 81, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Anchor Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Jean Davidson on August 19, 1938 in Dundee, Scotland, where she grew up. As a young adult, Jean immigrated to the United States in 1957 and started her life in Connecticut. Shortly after in 1964, she moved to New Jersey. She also spent some time living in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, before returning to Morganville, New Jersey in 2008. In 2015, she settled in Hazlet.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Jean (McBain) Davidson and her daughter, Krystine Bordenabe. Jean is survived by her loving children, Tracy Godsil of Morganville, New Jersey, Peter Godsil of Chino, California, William Godsil Jr. of Queens, New York and Carol Bordenabe and her husband, Alfredo, of Old Bridge, New Jersey. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Godsil and his wife, Evan, Lea Torres, Justin Torres, Dylan Godsil, Aiden and Evan Bordenabe. Jean will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
In respect of Jean’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, February 6th, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
