Jean M. (Scavelli) Coppola

Jean M. Coppola, 88 passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on February 15, 2024. She was born Giovaninna Scavelli on July 19,1935  in Brooklyn, New York. She lived most of her life in Brooklyn until settling in Hazlet, New Jersey in 2015 to be closer to her family. Jean was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many. 

She was predeceased by her loving parents Gaetano and Julia (DeMatteis) Scavelli, her beloved husband Anthony Coppola and her siblings Dominick Scavelli, Vincent Scavelli and her daughter in law Nancy Coppola.

Jean is survived by her loving children, Pat Coppola, Anthony Coppola and his wife Pauline, Julie Cordiello and her husband Anthony, her sister in laws Mary Scavelli, Vivian Scavelli and Gloria Liotta, her cherished grandchildren, Annette Adkison and husband Dan, Michael Coppola and wife October, Anthony Coppola and his wife Kelly, JeanMarie Thompson and her husband Dave, Anthony Cordiello and his wife Joelle, Kristen Macdonald and her husband Sean, Julia Pozo and her husband Raul, Andrew Coridello and her adored great grandchildren, Brody, Rigby Lily, Jackson and Carson, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jean was an amazing woman who always put her family first. She loved baseball and the NY Mets, Atlantic City, Wresting and Video Games. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday Feb 19, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Tuesday Morning February 20, 2024 from 8:45 m to 9:30 am at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 3269 State Highway route 35 North, Hazlet NJ 07730, A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday February 20, 2024 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, NJ 07730.
