Jean M. Clayton

Jean M. Clayton, 89, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2020 at CareOne at Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Jean Hyer on July 10, 1930 and grew up in Union Beach, New Jersey.  Later in life she moved to Keyport, where she raised her family. Jean worked as a CNA for Cliffside Healthcare in Cliffwood, New Jersey for many years before retirement.  

Jean was predeceased by her parents Victoria Jean (Labberfich) and Clarence Hyer, her beloved husband, Richard Clayton, and her siblings, Ellen Allen, George Hyer, Bob Hyer and Richard Hyer. She is survived by her loving children, Henry Peter Phillips of Keyport, New Jersey, Bob Clayton and his wife, Regina of North Carolina, and Charles W. Clayton and his long-time girlfriend, Risa Beyer of Middletown, New Jersey, her dear brother, Victor Hyer of North Carolina, three cherished grandchildren, two adored great grandchildren and 21 treasured nieces and nephews.  Jean will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
