Janice was born on May 25, 1949, in Queens, New York and grew up in Northport, Long Island. In 1974, she met the best-looking and charming Fagan man and married him within six weeks. They bought their first house together in Oakhurst, New Jersey, moved to Cork, Ireland for three years and returned to Oakhurst, where they remained to raise their beautiful family.
Before moving to the Florida Panhandle in 2000, Janice proudly worked for Mid Atlantic Resource Group in Wall Township. She was know by many of her co-workers as a “force to be reckoned with.”
Janice was a loving wife, amazing mother, sister, grandmother (her grandkids called her Granola), sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Janice endured so much loss in her life and overcame a stroke which disabled her in 1997. She was a strong woman who can now enjoy spending time with her husband, sons, and so many others who left this world too early.
Janice was predeceased by her loving husband, Dennis (2003), her beloved sons, Terrance (1992) and Jamie (2019), and her sister, Lynn Gaffney (2024).
Janice is survived by her third favorite son, Brian Fagan and his wife, Jodi, of Fredericksburg, VA; her dear siblings, Sharon Frederitz of San Diego, CA and Philip Gaffney and his wife, Karen, of Inverness, FL; her cherished grandchildren, Patrick and Brettney Fagan; her two favorite sister-in-laws Grace DiCaprio and her husband Nick, and Joanne Fagan; her brother-in-law Joseph Fagan and his wife Katie of Toms River, NJ; and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Janice’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. For information or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
