Jane Deutscher

Jane Deutscher, 83, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on August 15, 2021. She was born Jane Daly on October 18, 1937 in Manhattan, New York. Jane attended and graduated from St. Paul the Apostle Grammar School and Cathedral High School. Jane worked for AT&T in Manhattan for many years, Kerr Glass in Keyport, and most recently, the Hazlet Pharmacy before retiring. She lived most of her adult life on Craig Street in Hazlet until moving in with her daughter Tricia and her family, who also resided in Hazlet. She loved spending time with all her Children and Grandchildren, reading especially, James Patterson, Danielle Steele and Tom Clancy. Jane enjoyed shopping with and for her children and grandchildren especially at Christmas and she loved baking her butter cookies with her family. Some of Jane’s hobbies included playing Pinochle, MarJong with her friends. Her favorite TV shows were Days of our Lives, Law and Order, Blue Bloods and Criminal Minds. Her favorite singers included Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, Tom Jones, and Michael Buble.

Jane is predeceased by her mother Kathleen, and loving husband of 52 years, Alfred Deutscher. She is survived by her children Deborah Signorile and her husband Michael, Tricia McGrath and her husband Mick, John Deutscher and his wife Tina, and Janette O’Donnell and her husband Jimmy, her grandchildren Caitlin, Michael, Eileen and her husband Matthew, Connor, Jennifer, Emily, Matthew, and Forest, her great-grandchildren Remy and Landry, her dearest friends Peggy, Ann, Pat, and Judy.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday morning, August 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be held at the funeral home during visitation hours. Interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
