James Patrick Petrane, "Jimmy”, 70, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Jimmy was born on July 19, 1954, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey and in junior high school, moved to Hazlet, New Jersey. In 1987, he then relocated to Marlton, New Jersey to raise his family. He was a talented, hard-working carpenter for over 45 years and a member of the Jersey City and Philadelphia Carpenters Unions, and later on started his own construction businesses. Jimmy was a good-hearted man, with a great sense of humor who would do anything for his family and friends. He enjoyed spending all of his time with his family, especially his daughters and granddaughters. They were his everything and the apple of his eye.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rose (Bergantino) Petrane. He is survived by his wife, Gilda (Piazza) Petrane. Loving and devoted father to Jill Ferringo and her husband Michael and Dana Beckel and her husband Scott. Adoring and ever so loving "Poppy” to his three granddaughters Adrianna, Talia and Rita. Eldest brother to Sharon Beagan and her husband Michael, Robert Petrane and the late Roseanne Petrane. Uncle to Michael (Amy), Robert (Luz), Anthony, Rose (Jessica), Robert, and Jessica. Great-Uncle to nieces Ava, Liliana, Amelia and Kayla.
