James Lee Parker,76, born on August 10, 1949, in Stantonsburg, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at Raritan Bay Old Bridge Medical Center, Old Bridge, New Jersey. His life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to all who knew him. James was a man who lived his years with kindness, warmth, and an unwavering sense of friendship that touched the hearts of many.
Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Estella Parker, His brother Robert Earl Parker, his three sisters Blanche Parker, Mary Ellen Parker, Cynthia Cesar and his beloved wife, Carol Forde Parker, James's legacy continues through his loving Sister Helen Ruth Alston, nieces Ada Parker, Sheila, nephews Earl, Thomas, Tyrone Parker and grandchildren, Shavasha Smith, Shakia Richardson, Melvin Chandler, Dawn Chandler, Twanna Shaw, Sakisha Chandler, Natasha Chandler, Robert A. Chandler, Justin Chandler, Robert S Chandler, Shawn Chandler, Fabrice Chandler, Andre Chandler, Jion Chandler, and Nikkio Chandler. His cherished great-grandchildren, Marie, Saniyah, Heaven, Madison, Tyshaud, Arihanna, King, Treasure, Adonis, Scottie, Jordan, Aaron, Tyziah, Korin, Chinelle, and Kichon, will forever hold dear the memories and lessons he imparted.
James's journey took him from the southern charm of North Carolina to the vibrant streets of the Bronx, New York, in the 1970s. His later ventured to Camden, New Jersey, in 1989, and finally to Laurence Harbor, where he settled and spent his remaining years. A retired truck driver, James, dedicated many years to his profession, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.
His interests were as varied as they were passionate. James found joy in working on cars, a hobby that allowed him to tinker and innovate, often leading to hours spent in the garage with a smile on his face. Sundays were reserved for football and basketball, where he would cheer on his favorite teams, the Dolphins and the Lakers, with much enthusiasm. Old cartoons, particularly Tom and Jerry, were a source of laughter and nostalgia for James, who never lost his youthful spirit.
Described by those who knew him as loving, friendly, and kind, James's presence was a comfort and a blessing. His warmth extended beyond his immediate circle, touching the lives of friends and acquaintances alike. James will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate the enduring impact he made on so many lives. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. James's journey on earth may have concluded, but his story will be told for generations to come, a story of a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
