James Hay, 64, of Hopelawn, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 7, 2024. James was born on January 16, 1960, in Morristown, New Jersey, and grew up in Iselin, New Jersey. After marriage, James and his wife, Camille, settled in Cliffwood Beach, where they remained to raise their family.
James was a proud business owner and skilled diesel mechanic. He was extremely handy and could fix or build nearly anything and was always working on some kind of project. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and always enjoyed listening to music. One of his greatest passions was his bikes. He loved riding and traveled all over on his motorcycle throughout all the seasons of the year, whether in the frigid cold or warm sunshine. Most of all, James was a loving husband, father, brother, companion, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, James Allen and Jean Collins (Monaghan) Hay and his best-friend, Ralph Maglione. James is survived by his wife, Camille (Barbato) Hay and her partner, Michael Schwoerer, and his loving children, daughter Jamie Recinos and her husband, Renato, of Keansburg, son Jesse Hay of Denver, Colorado, and son Cody Hay and his fiancée, Kassandra DaSilva, of Cliffwood Beach. James is also survived by his cherished siblings, Patrick Hay, Alice Kerekes, Maryjane Francy and her husband, Kevin, and John Hay and his wife, Jasmin, and his sister-in-law, Rhonda Hay, along with many treasured nieces & nephews, extended family and friends. James is also survived by his companion, Kym Puzzo.
