Jack McCloskey Obituary

It is with profound sadness and very heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved son and brother, Jack L. McCloskey, 30, on July 14, 2025. Jack was born in Red Bank, New Jersey on October 20 and grew up in Hazlet.

Jack was a proud graduate of the University of Delaware, where he earned his degree from the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, Class of 2017. During his time there, he was an active member and treasurer of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, making great friendships and incredible memories. After college, he began his career at JP Morgan. During this time, he earned his CFA Level I designation. He was a highly valued and integral part of the Liquidity Reporting team within Corporate Treasury as a Senior Associate. In the words of his colleagues, Jack was a dedicated professional but also a model of kindness, warmth, and willingness to lend a hand to everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

Jack liked watching and playing football, baseball, and basketball. Some of his teammates are still his best friends today. He was also an avid golfer, a passion he learned from his father. When he wasn’t watching and playing sports, Jack enjoyed cooking and curating his ever-growing music library. It often seemed like there wasn’t a single song someone could mention that Jack didn’t already know. Anyone who knew Jack, also knew his unmatched sense of humor and his ability to have an entire room laughing within seconds. Jack loved spending time with his family. We will miss going to the gym with him, taking walks, and our vacations to the Bahamas over the years which gave us so many memories to cherish.

Jack was a loving son and a caring brother. His love for his family was unwavering. In recent years, he embraced his role as a source of quiet strength and guidance with grace and love. He was always ready to help his mom and sisters in any way he could. Jack wasn’t just a beloved son and brother; he was our rock, our biggest supporter, and our best friend. Jack left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him. It only took knowing him to love him. He will be missed immensely, forever loved, and never forgotten. Always in our hearts. Until we meet again.

He was predeceased by his father, William F. McCloskey, and his grandparents, Jim and Maureen McCloskey. Jack is survived by his beloved and devoted mother, Kelly (Walsh) McCloskey, his adoring sisters, Paige and Jamie McCloskey, his loving grandparents, Timothy and Rosemary Walsh, along with many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and his dear dog, Mason.
