Irene M. (Kryscnski) Preston

Irene M. Preston, 93, of Brick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.  She was born Irene M. Kryscnski on November 14, 1927 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up.  In 1940 at thirteen years old, Irene and her family moved to the Middletown area.  After marriage, Irene and her beloved husband, George, started their life together in Keansburg, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family and in 1982, they retired to Florida.  Throughout her life from when her kids were young up until her recent years, Irene spent her summers with her family at their beach home in Lavalette, New Jersey, which was near and dear to her heart.  She loved spending as much time as possible at the beach with her family and friends.  Approximately 10 years ago, Irene returned to New Jersey from Florida to live with her loving daughter, Susan, in Brick.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Vladislava (Pietrowicz) Kryscnski, her beloved husband, George W. Preston, her dear siblings, William, Edward, and Dorothy Kryscnski, and her cherished grandson, Patrick Coughlin.  Irene is survived by her loving children, Margaret Wall of Keansburg, Patricia Romero and her husband Angel, of Meriden, Connecticut, Irene Hawarden of Grapevine, Texas, Susan Morgenroth of Brick, George Preston and his wife, Laura, of Salem, New Hampshire, and Dorothy Coughlin of Hazlet, New Jersey and her sister-in-law, Myra Kryscnski.  Irene also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, James Hawarden and his wife, Vicki, Amy Pernacchio, Thomas Hawarden and his wife, Diana, Amanda Morgenroth, Travis Morgenroth and his wife, Jennifer, Kate Tronc and her husband, Pierre, Michael Coughlin, George Preston and his fiancée, Rita, John Preston and his fiancée, Natalie, Sarah Gladdin and her husband, Mike, and Wesley Preston, 11 great grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way, and 1 great-great grandson and another great-great grandchild on the way, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. Irene will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
